There is nothing wrong with getting extra sleep on weekends;or taking a nap,in the afternoon;but that really doesn't answer my question.
I take time and make time,to enjoy playing like a child everyday. For this short period of time,I put aside all my adult responsibilty/obligations .
What nice thing do you do for yourself every day?

I don't have time to 'play like a child,' Bosc. I'm raising one. Between working strange hours, caring for 2 dogs and cleaning a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house, I'm tired and making time for myself would be taking a nice bubble bath and getting as much sleep as I can. THAT IS my enjoyment.

I don't have time for jigsaw puzzles or going to Toys R Us and looking at whatever it is that interest other adults in that store as I hope the next time to visit that store would be when I have grandchildren. Making time for what I really want to do when my son leaves the nest would be to take in underpriviliged kids and give them a home and love. I'm hoping material things would not count much as spending time with these kids would.

Do you wash your car yourself or take it to the car wash?

Good morning Rockford 2
If taking a bubble bath is your thing,ENJOY.
I will respect your opinons;but I find working on a jigsaw puzzle, while sitting on the floor,is not only relaxeing;but it is a great source of 'thinking' about what we must deal with in a immoral society about us.
You stated in your post, that when your son'leaves ' the nest, you want to help 'underpriveledged kids.'
There are just to many people who bring a child/ren into the world, knowing that they can't even take care of themselves, let alone a child.
I am one of many hardworking over burdened TAXPAYERS;and there are many things I totally disagree with where local/state/fed gov. spend my taxes on things I know it wrong;but I can't do anything about.

Enjoy your day Boscorelli
Are you happy at this time of the month?

Hi Bosc!

The way I see it with the kids is this. I would rather have the next generation being able to know how to read, write and do simple arthmitic. Also to know that somebody cares about them. And I know that I alone won't make much of a difference but in my heart I will know and that to me....is what counts.

I am happy this time of the year. The weather is just fine and I love looking at different lights and decorated trees.

What do you hate most about X-Mas shopping? The crowds? the lack of parking spots? or going from store to store looking for bargains?

I am a strong ADVOCATE of the NEBRASKA LAW, and reinstateing Orphanages.
THe Nebraska Law,in a nutshell . Parents can bring their child/ren from newborn to age 18,to a designated hospital. The State will take care of the child/ren.The parents are required to sign a waiver;the police will investigate the family for drugs and any crimminal acts.
Orphanges are the 2nd prong;well staffed educated people with degrees in childcare & psychology. The orphanges will provide both a good home and education through high school.
The term 'underpriveldged child' is just a more sophistacated term for abuse. We refer to the average family as 'dysfunctional ' it was once called the broken home.
Earlier this year, especially in the summer;there were cases of small children being left in an overheated car for hours;these were discussed in : CRIMES IN THE NEWS forum
THE JOHNSON & JOHNSON CORP. well over 20 years ago said this.
"A child will change your life for the rest of your life"
Child abuse is now taken seriously, not as it was overlooked/excused in the 1940's 50's Long prison sentences are handed down

I don't CHRISTMAS shop at all;but give the gifts that keeps on giving.
I treat my boss, suprvisor co-workers,neighbors with respect and don't interfere with their private lives. I am thankfull for on-line shopping.

At my job we get Thursday and Friday off. Not only that, fortunately this year I had five vacation days left till the end of the year that I must take, so I chose to take the day before Thanksgiving off, and the Monday after Thanksgiving. So.....a VERY nice 6 day weekend for me! I hope to make a dent in some Christmas shopping and decorating.

Do you go out New Years Eve? How do you celebrate? I've just stayed home for years now, but this year I think my neighbors across the street will have a small party. Can't beat that....close enough to walk there, and home.

A tradition started many moons ago was that my husband and I along with his parents would go to a very nice Chinese restaurant to eat....very early, about 4 or 5 in the afternoon before the drunks started driving.

Then some friends would come over and we would play Monopoly.

When our son was born, we stayed home throughout the years but then started to go out to dinner with the in laws, but just to family restaurants.

I am working Saturday and Sunday.

What are you most grateful for today?

Yes,I have friday after thanksgiving off. I will spend this wonderfull 4 day weekend, working on a new 300 piece jigsaw puzzle, eating pumpkin pie and a glass or two of egg; then I will go relieve my 'guilt and excercise ;Tony Little's Gazelle and the malibu pilates chair.
I just read that an elderly couple was involved in a car crash,on thursday night;husband dead, wife seriously injured all do to a drunk driver.
I am gratefull for many many blessings, especially that I am not burdered by family/children

How do you feel about the stores/malls being opened at 6am to 12am on friday?
