If they went to the concert in Morgan's car then why would she need to look for a ride when she could not go back in. If it was me I would have left and came back to pick the others up when the concert was over. If the friends had her keys could they not go to the door and meet her and get them to her.

Morgan Harrington’s parents confirmed to WSLS Thursday evening that there is a $100,000 reward for information that will help police find her.

Officers from State Police, the Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office, and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office re-searched parts of the University of Virginia campus Thursday. Investigators searched the area near University Hall where someone found Morgan Harrington’s purse this past Sunday morning. That search included looking through thick underbrush.
We also have a better picture of the timeline that lead up to Morgan Harrington’s disappearance.
Investigators say Harrington’s trip to UVA’s John Paul Jones Arena this past Saturday began with her and her friends driving to Harrisonburg, where they picked up more friends.
The group then drove Morgan’s car to the arena in Charlottesville for the Metallica concert.
After the concert started, but before Metallica took the stage, Police say Harrington went to the bathroom. Somehow Morgan ended up outside the arena, and she was not allowed back inside due to a “no re-entry” policy for the concert.
Police say 8:30 p.m. Saturday is the last contact that Harrington had with her friends. Investigators say Morgan told her friends that she would either wait for them, or get home safely. Police say Morgan’s friends had no reason to believe that wasn’t the case.
According to police, Morgan’s friends drove Harrington’s car back to Harrisonburg, and spent the night there.

If she was unable to get back in, why not sit outside and listen? Those concerts are so loud they can be heard from streets away, let alone the car park.

The car park was probably full of other people who were doing that exact thing, who didnt have tickets in the first place. There possibly would've even been a party atmosphere. At the very least there would've been lights, safety, security guards. She could've waited for her friends and still heard the concert.

I really have to question the "sighting" of Morgan hitchhiking. Unless she believed that she wouldn't get a ride home from her "friends" even if she had waited. In her own car - maybe they had an argument and she didn't want to be anywhere near them?

A streamer of Tibetan prayer flags also draped the bridge. Prayer flags are a favorite of Morgan's, and she displayed them on a balcony in Blacksburg and on her bed in her parents' Roanoke home, her mother said.

Her parents said that as far as they know, state police haven't established a timeline beyond the 9:30 p.m. spotting on the bridge.

Her mother believes she was likely trying to return to James Madison University in Harrisonburg. "If she was traveling under her own wishes, that's the direction she would have been heading," Gil Harrington said.

Morgan Harrington had stopped at JMU on her way to the concert in Charlottesville. From there, she rode in her own car with a group of friends, one of whom drove to U.Va.

Morgan was a junior at VTech, living in Blacksburg. Her parents lived in Roanoke. Why would she want to return to James Madison University in Harrisonburg that night --- the very opposite direction to either of her homes? Does it make any sense?

She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with "Pantera" written across the front in tan letters, a black miniskirt, black tights and black boots. She also was wearing a Swarovski crystal necklace with a chain-link design that her brother had given her.

Maybe the injury to her face occurred when someone pushed her down and snatched the necklace. Or possibly MH realized the danger, and removed the necklace. In any case, we can't be sure that she was wearing it.

All i can think of is as to why she didn't stay put is that it was very cool outside for what she was wearing. 44 degrees, wind 7 mph, 80% humidity. Just my own opinion though.

UVA Players Questioned In Missing Student Case


Several University of Virginia men's basketball players have been questioned concerning the disappearance of Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington.

According to a statement released by the University of Virginia, the unnamed players were approached by a woman resembling Harrington October 17, following a team practice. The team's practice facility is located close to the John Paul Jones Arena, where Harrington attended a Metallica concert that weekend.

Morgan was featured on AMW Saturday night. Not sure if it was a repeat or not but I caught it and they think she may have met up with a truckdriver while hitchhiking. Of course at this point it is just speculation but it was an interesting report. You can go to AMW website and check out details.
