Search goes on for missing girl, 15

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- It's been four days since a 15-year-old girl was last seen, As the search for her goes on, her family is wondering what happened.

Friends say they last saw Brittany Garza, 15, in the parking lot of a Walgreens on East Mt. Houston. They say she got into a car with a 35-year-old family acquaintance her mother says was not allowed to be around her daughter. That was Saturday night. They haven't heard from her since.

Since then family members have been posting flyers with her picture on them. Her mother says it is out of character for the high school sophomore to not come home. She says she's never done this before. Her friends describe the 35-year-old as obsessed with her. They say Brittany voiced her concerns, too and back in August her mother says they told him not to come around anymore.

It's unclear whether she willingly got in the car with him Saturday night, but considering the age difference and their experience with him, her mother is worried sick.

"He's 35-years-old and I feel he has an attraction for my daughter and I'm scared. I'm scared he has her somewhere and I just want her to come home," said Angela Perez, Brittany's mother.

Houston police have Brittany as a missing person. Texas Equusearch has helped with flyers. We are not identifying the 35-year-old because he is not considered a suspect, although her family believes he has left town.

I don't like the feeling of this. Getting into the car with a 35 yr old man, yikes I smell child molester.

I agree it doenst sound good at all espically if he left town and the mother has a bad feeling about him being around her daughter a lil fishy to me!
