Oh, bless your heart, Louise. I am praying for Sandy right now. And for you & DH.

Welcome home, hon!

Thanks Roamy. I am a bit upset about this, it's the last thing I thought would happen. Prayers are greatly appreciated.

Thanks Packy, my husband just got a call from the other clinic on his cell phone while driving back from our vet and they want to see the xrays today as they don't think they can really do an ultrasound of her lungs after all so will post something more when he gets home.

Good afternoon, Klatchers. Quite a bit of catch up reading to do.
Louise, good to hear from you, we missed you. However, it saddens me to hear about Sandy. That poor baby has had such a hard year. I just really do not know what to say. We have all been there when a pet get so sick, and it is a frustrated, helpless feeling..and so heartbreaking.

I have been working on the house I am moving into for...well...I don't know how long. You would not believe how much of a mess the remodeling crew left behind. I spent a good part of today just cleaning paint specks off hardwood. I got a lot of the kitchen stuff moved in. That part was easy, because I am not taking much from this house. I just cannot bring myself to take things from their "place". So, I bought a lot of new stuff. The furniture should arrive tomorrow. I had to get a new stove because the old one looked too bad to leave in a "new" kitchen. That will not arrive till next week. If they will deliver the furniture in the a.m., I will go back out and pick out a fridge tomorrow. I have been dragging my heels, because the one I want is too much. I really do not need every bell and whistle anyway, so tomorrow I make a wiser decision. All I can say is....there goes my savings, folks. Anyway, progress is being made because Gene finally got out his tools and whatever all that other stuff was.

Thanks Tam, Sky, Texanne & Pat.

The second vet clinic visit went better than I thought it would do but there are still concerns though not about the fluid in her lungs. After taking several further xrays, the new vet said he couldn't see any fluid in her lungs at all however he did see a mass on her chest wall. He is seriously leaning towards the breathing issues now are as a result of very bad bronchial pneumonia so she will be put on antibiotics for the next couple of weeks, which is a relief. If the antibiotics don't help he will do an ultrasound then to see if it is indeed cancer or not. On a more negative note, we have to take her off the prednizone as the xrays showed that her liver is enlarged as a result of it. We will talk to our regular vet about that on Friday when we take her in to check her temperature as she had a bit of a fever which is why the second vet is leaning towards this being a bronchial pneumonia. Back to the positive now, it appears that she was misdiagnosed when she started having her seizures about 3 years ago now. The vet said that if she did indeed have a brain tumor, she would have passed away by now. Am not sure about that as she kept shaking her head more than one would see with an ear infection.

I truly hope that she starts getting better. Will continue to keep everyone posted on this.
