Authorities searching for missing child
Wed Nov 04, 2009, 07:00 AM CST ![]() The McDonald County Sheriff’s Department is seeking a missing child. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Rebecca Marie Allen, 8, may be with a non-custodial parent, her mother, Teresa Lynn Allen, also known as Teresa L. Gantt, 39. The pair were last seen at the girl’s home, 711 Woodard Lane in Washburn, at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The girl’s biological father has sole custody of Rebecca, as the mother is mentally unstable and capable of harming the child. “She has threatened to kill the child before turning [her] over to the Division of Family Services,” said Barbara Graham, a spokeswoman with the highway patrol. Rebecca is described as being about weighing 48 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes. The mother is described as about 5-foot-3, weighing 160 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes. Anyone seeing the pair or having information about them should dial 911 or contact the McDonald County Sheriff’s Department at 223-7429. http://www.neoshodailynews.com/news/...-missing-child

Rural Washburn girl missing Authorities in Missouri believe a 39-year-old rural Washburn woman may have left the state with her 8-year-old daughter whose father has sole custody of her. The McDonald County Sheriff’s Department issued an endangered person advisory Tuesday night on Rebecca Marie Allen. The girl’s mother, Teresa Lynn Allen, also known as Teresa L. Gantt, is suspected of having left her home at 711 Woodard Lane in McDonald County and taken the girl with her, Sheriff Robert Evenson said. “We don’t think her mother will harm her,” Evenson told the Globe. But sheriff’s deputies have not been able to locate the girl on behalf of her father, Joe Allen, of Cassville, Evenson said. Joe Allen was granted sole custody of the child at a court hearing last week in Barry County, the sheriff said. Leads received by the McDonald County Sheriff’s Department suggest that the mother may have left the state with the girl, he said. The girl is described as weighing 48 pounds and having blonde hair and brown eyes. Her mother is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and 160 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information concerning their whereabouts is being asked to call the McDonald County Sheriff’s Department at (417) 223-7429. http://www.joplinglobe.com/local/loc...308131251.html

MPORTANT PLEASE READ!!!!
Teresa Allen has gone missing with her daughter! Google: Rebecca Marie Allen for the news http://www.mshp.dps.mo.gov/MSHPWeb/m...807G333401.pdf First of all from the Joplin Globe Sheriff Robert Evenson said. “We don’t think her mother will harm her,” Evenson told the Globe. I am the uncle of Rebecca and the younger brother of Teresa. I live in Florida, but I am in SW Missouri now due to this emergency. Rebecca was assigned custody recently to her father (Teresa’s ex-husband). This is a huge mistake. I just tonight finished reading transcripts from two different mental health counselor trained to work with child abuse victims. There is detailed repeated sexual abuse ongoing for four years from the child’s father during weekend visitations at his home. Once even Rebecca commented that her father’s mother (Grandma) found it happening and called the police. Rebecca stated to the therapists that the grandmother and police “saved her”. The judge in the recent custody hearing did not read the transcripts and did not allow a continuance to be issued so the therapists could testify (as she was in court elsewhere that day). My sister is very protective of her daughter and I believe she ran in order to protect her from future abuse. I wish she would contact us! Teresa is not fully charged with a crime YET. She must appear by Nov. 12th for contempt of court hearing. If anyone knows where they are - please contact the authorities. |
