I get small small ones all the time, like from my wife, or a neighbor for whom I do a favor for fixing something . The ones that I miss the most are the ones that used to come from my father . After aggravating him for the first 35 years of my life, the best compliment I ever got was in a birthday card from him that said he was proud of the way that I had changed and he thought he would stick around for awhile . Needless to say, for a while was not long enough.

Who is the person you miss the most in your life ?

Happy to say I received a compliment just today! A co-worker complimented me on my sweater, said it went great with my eye color. I live in FL and we are just starting to get some sorta cooler weather now, so I wore a new light sweater I hadn't worn before. It's always nice to get compliments.

Here's a related question: have you even worn a new outfit to work or wherever and NO ONE said a word about it, making you feel like, oh crap, it must look AWFUL?????? That happens to me. If I wear something brand new and no one says anything at all about it, not one little comment, I think it's a bad choice. (I work in a small office.) Eeek.

maybe you present yourself so well that they expect that to be the norm , if you don't get any negative feedback you must be doing something right .

Back to your question
have you even worn a new outfit to work or wherever and NO ONE said a word about it, making you feel like, oh crap

Good Morning Savannah Star,Rockford 2 Look4u,Firehead Alibar
To answer my own question about problem solveing.I take the FULL Advantage of living alone.First I settle my mind and pray to the LORD,while sitting before a large life like crucifix;asking HIM for HIS DIVINE ASSISTANCE.
THen I work on a jigsaw puzzle,crossword/number puzzle etc.or I'll do housework;or an aerobic workout and soon the solution to the problem comes.
What is takeing place is this: I am totally relaxed, not trying to solve the problem;the answer does come.
But not every problem is quickly solved.Example: The elderly neighbor, who should really be in a nursing home,is still here. He's just stubborn;I have done all I can now legally;I leave this with CHRIST,who is in control and go about my daily life
Now let me say, that I am not totally against talking about a problem with another person;the point is that person may only add to the difficultly by giveing bad advice.Example: a neighbor suggested that I put sugar in a neighbor's gas tank;because this neighbor;the one I mentioned above;should have never been driveing as long as he did. He subsequently was involved in a low-speed fender bender and willingly gave up driveing.
When I am speaking to a person,I do give them my fullest attention.Because I can hear many things that they are not saying;therefore I can give them an appropiate answer. Yes I am aware when a person is half listening to me and formulateing an answer;I also take this into consideration before I reply.
People who half-listen are very insecure to begin with. If my co-workers don't compliment me on a new outfit,it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I dress conservatively;not the standard uniform code of tee shirts, jeans sneakers. I do wear tee shirts and pj pants,sneakers/slippers in the house
If one doesn't recieve a compliment, why should it matter at all;if you are at peace with yourself.
There has never been someone that I have missed. People move through my life;they play their part and leave.Missing them NO. People who try desperately to hold on to a person, only creates difficulties.
Live each day very well;look forward to the immediate future.
The perfect job,is what suits your personality make-up,education and financial needs.
One should content with themselves, for the present;so that when a change comes;they will be able to accept it GOOD OR BAD

all of them, up until this point (56), and I plan on at least 25 more . In reality I would have to say between the ages of six & ten , you're just starting to figure it out , and I figured that things will work themselves out before I got older .

Is there anything you regretted doing to a friend of yours, that wasn't illegal ?

Not being able to save my very best friend from a horribly abusive relationship with her then boyfriend. Oh Lord....I tried and then by the time I finally convinced her parents that she wasn't walking into doors but being terribly battered and bruised by this monster they were not able to save her as well. I will always, always carry guilt.

I wish I could have done something to him that wasn't legal! :madranting94dp:

Do you have any regrets so far in your life?

Good Morning Rockford 2 look4u
To answer my own question,it was 8 years old that I remember being the very happiest.I still remember in vivid detail of the house we lived in. It was at 8,that I learned how to use my vivid imagination;that has stayed with me all my life.
June 1 1999,the wish I had made as a 8 year old came true,a long time into the future;but it was fullfilled PLUS other positive things, that I never considered.
My wish came true, because it was a very realistic down to earth wish;not like most childhood wishes that are made. I also believe it came to me far into the future was to prepare me for it JMHO.
Rockford 2 why are you so troubled by guilt of what happened to your friend. I take it,she was an adult???? Your friend just made bad choices.
Men and women freely enter into relationships;unfortunately both parties lie to each other, planting the seeds of abuse. Your friend should ended the relationship sooner, gone to the police and had him arrested on a assault/battery charge.
Another important fact that must be taken into consideration is;it takes two people to start a fight. Example
Nicole Brown Simpson stated she was abused by OJ,yet she never filed charges against him;she could have moved out of Calif. but didn't.She lived in close proxsimidy to him, putting herself and her children in danger. Both OJ & Nicole were having affairs, while married. Today OJ in in a Las Vegas prison doing 7 -15 years on other related charges.
After a through investigation and sufficient evidence, to go to trial;your friend should have testified against her boyfriend and got a conviction.
I have been slightly dissapointed but this is quite natural;but no regrets
Boscorelli.
Do you think on-line dateing websites are OK or RISKY??

Wow, who do I miss the most? That was a very hard question for me. I miss speaking with my mother every day. I miss going shopping with my best friend of 30. I miss my father.

Regrets: My friend that died almost 2 years ago. On her final night on earth, she called me. Hubby and I went to the house. I wish I would have insisted that she go back into the hospital. (I know she would not have gone tho.)

Clothes? I wear what I want to to be comfortable in any situation. If others don't like it, tough. I dress appropriately for whatever I am doing.

Favorite time of my childhood? I had a very nice childhood.

Online dating... no way, no how. This world has gone nuts.

What was the best movie ever made in your opinion?

Good Morning Firehead
Once again, you and I are on the 'same page'
Every time I see the TV commerical for 'E Harmony.com' I cringe.Of course they will advertise the happy smileing couple and the date they were matched.
People can and do LIE just to get their needs met. I also stay away from on-line chat rooms. JMHO but people either must be desperate, lonely or a mixture of both to go to these places.
Like you,my friend,I wear what I want and if people don't like what I wear;well that's their right.
I don't think the world has gone 'nuts' but morally depraved. AS for my favorite movie;that's a difficult one;there are so many.I am building my dvd library=commerical free movie watching.
I don't post any of my opinons on Crimes In The News/ Breaking News;here on HFTM any longer;I found another forum where my strong viewpoints are appreciated and respected;also there is a healthy balance of men,on this forum.

I would love to see a national health plan where everyone is covered but I also have to think at what price. How is this going to be funded. Our known unemployment rate is over 10% and goes even higher if you figure in those people that can no longer receive benefits. Downsizing in companies is happening and some of those companies after struggling for the past two years will finally close their doors. I can say that I love the dream of it but the reality just might be something totally different.

Are you ready for winter? Brrrrrrr....
